The Jumping Dragons are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) jump rope team consisting of jumpers from elementary and middle schools in the surrounding San Antonio Area that provide family entertainment for all ages. They are a performance jump rope team that is dedicated to entertaining and promoting health and fitness by jumping rope. They take pride in spreading the enthusiasm and excitement that encourages adults, children and families to jump rope for conditioning, exercise and fun. The team always welcomes opportunities to perform and spread the excitement of life-time fitness.
PERFORMANCE DETAILS Our performances include single rope group routines, individual freestyle jumping showcasing different single rope skills, long rope, audience participation, partner and double dutch skills. The show varies in length from 5 to 30 minutes. WHAT IS A SINGLE ROPE ROUTINE? Single rope routines are a combination of footwork and dance skills choreographed to music. This unique combination is enjoyable to perform and exciting to watch. WHY PROMOTE JUMP ROPE? Jumping rope is one of the most comprehensive and beneficial forms of exercise that any person can do! It can be done just about anywhere, alone or in a group, and can easily be incorporated into anyone’s lifestyle. The sport quickly improves fitness levels, builds self-esteem, and most importantly demonstrates that fitness can be fun and enjoyable! Jumping rope is effective, easy to learn, inexpensive, portable, great for any age, and the most fun you can have on two feet!
